Christmas in August

Jonathan’s Mom brought an array of clothes and books for the boys on her recent visit. I was particularly thrilled about the t-shirts in various colors. No advertising, no silly graphics, just plain t-shirts that go with all colors of overalls and shorts!

Then a few days later Bob and Heidi gave them two adorable baja shirts from their honeymoon in Guatemala - have you ever seen anything so cute?

The next day I got a box of Cheerios in the mail. Hmmm, someone knows us well, I thought.

But it turned out Daring Young Mom recycled the box as a mailer to send us the cool toys I won in her give-away!

And then yesterday as the boys and I were coming home I saw a bunch of toys piled up in the trash area. A bit of sorting, a bit of Lysol, and the boys now have more toys than they could possibly ever want (in fact, some of these will make their way to our church nursery as the ones pictured below are only about half of what we kept).
