Welcome to the fourth edition of Blog With Me Baby! My tip this week is how to track where your blog is mentioned on the internet. A few weeks ago I signed up for Google Alerts, entering “SeaBird Chronicles” as the term I wanted to track. Now Google emails me once a week listing all the new places where “SeaBird Chronicles” appears.

Last week’s email included a link to this article where the soldier I adopted on AnySoldier wrote that she received my letter. Without the Alert email, I would not have known about this article (and that she received my letter)!

You can also use Alerts to keep current on a particular topic such as an event, celebrity, weather condition, or meme. You can choose to be notified once a day, once a week, or as it happens. And, you can limit the search to just News, Groups, Blogs, the Web, or all of the above.
