Crusty vs Techno-Rave

Saturday:

Jonathan:   Let’s go to the contemporary service so we don’t have to open the crusty hymnals.

Laura:   You want more modern music?

Jonathan:  Yeah, I’m a techno-rave type of Christian, like deck the bee-baz-bop-dee-doop halls.

As we left the contemporary service this morning:

Jonathan:   Hmm, it was good, but not what I expected.

Laura:   You were hoping for more Christmas-y type hymns like “Away in a Manger” and “Angels We Have Heard On High?”

Jonathan:   Yeah.

Laura:   The type of hymns usually found in crusty hymnals?

Jonathan:   Yeah.
