Things I Like About Our New Entertainment Center
As I lounge here on the couch,
in daylight,
eating bonbons,
I cast my eyes upon our brand new entertainment center
created with much effort and time and boundless love
by my desperately handsome husband.
As with many of his creations, it is a little too perfect
and I find the faultless symmetry unnerving
(his same reaction to my now-straightened teeth).
However, the way the matte black recedes into the background
works well and does not compete
with the shiny entertainment equipment.
There remains exactly enough space on top of the speaker
to reach the phone with ease and enough space on top
of the DVD player to allow a few (ahem) DVDs to collect
and remain accessible.
Cleverly designed to conceal all manner
of twisty snake-like cords,
yet still allows easy access to to the router
for trouble-shooting purposes,
this new conglomeration also includes a cord to connect!
my! iPod Touch! so I can! play! all! my! music!
I've been coverting from CDs!!! Woo-hoo!
In conclusion, this elegant and multi-functional piece is
a welcome addition to our living room
and will be cherished for years to come.
(or at least until my husband decides to move)
