The wonderful wizard of chocolate

My birthday and my wedding anniversary are only three weeks apart. My Dad sent me Miles of Chocolate. For each.

Which gave me the opportunity to photograph it before we devoured it. I mean, I was able to take a picture before, but I was so distracted by the desire to consume it immediately that it didn’t turn out so well.

But two half-bricks within a matter of weeks gave me (barely) enough time to do the chocolate concoction justice. So here we go:

The above photo shows the crispier top layer in all its glory.

And Miles, here is my intrepid request: would you please make a dark chocolate version?

I HIGHLY recommend heating a Miles up very briefly in the microwave, then adding some vanilla ice cream. It's incredible - just be careful 'cause the brownie gets really, really hot. But the warmth just makes it MELT.

That looks so yummy! I don't know if they have a store here in the UAE, though I would say I am secretly hoping there isn't! :-)

Happy birthday and happy anniversary to you.
