OktoberFest, Part 1
After speaking at length last night with one of those people who give Democrats a horrible reputation (and cursing my stupid brain that cannot remember any details ever, making me completely ineffectual in any type of debate).... I read this, which I agree with, and more eloquently conveys why I bought a few more stocks this past week. An excerpt:
"It turns out that John McCain, who was widely mocked for saying that 'the fundamentals of our economy are strong,' was actually right. We're in a financial crisis, not an economic crisis. We're not entering a second Great Depression."
I will write more about this conversation (quite blog-worthy), as this person left the party (my party) in a huff after our conversation ended. Yes, my very own OktoberFest soap opera. But for now...
Dude, that kind of behaviour doesn't win you any converts nor does it even make me want to engage you in conversation again. Ever. Even about the weather.
Because you will insist that this humidity is so similar to the Third Reich, it is SCARY. And you are TERRIFIED. And WHY DO YOU KEEP AVOIDING MY CHALLENGE TO "NAME ONE DAY OF GOOD WEATHER WE'VE HAD SINCE BUSH TOOK OFFICE."
I best stop now and save this for another post....
