Little Brudder
Last weekend Jonathan had a burning desire to tell boys about their little brother. And he wanted to record the moment to memorialize all their cute questions and funny comments.
It was a bit of a let-down for him when their response was "oh," giving my stomach a skeptical glance, and asking if they could ride their bikes.
But we've continued talking about it and since they have no idea how long four months is, the most common question is (usually from Jonah, who is more interested in the matter), "When is my little brudder coming?" The second most common question (usually from Benjamin) is, "How is my little brudder going to come out of your belly?"
Jonah has taken to treating Puppy like a baby, wheeling it around in his toy wheelbarrow (the pink stroller was banished by Jonathan a few weeks ago), and calling it his "baby sister" or "little brudder" depending on his mood.
We took them to the second ultrasound the other day and had one of the same technicians that monitored them in-utero. I had brought them by when they were several months old, but he was so happy to see them again in person - and so much bigger!
The boys really liked listening to the heartbeat so the technician played it a few times then printed them each a copy of their brother's head profile.
