Jonathan’s Mom said to him, “I hope these guys don’t give you headaches the way you did to me.”
[pause, then she continued]
“....even though you would deserve it.”

I received a note from a cousin saying – regarding life with two toddlers, “Every minute must be filled with adventure!”
Uh huh.
The only people who say things like this are parents whose children are grown, but aren’t grandparents themselves yet. The two year-old stage is in the distant past and all they remember is their kids saying “li-buh-rary” instead of library.
No, adventure is having a nanny come up to you at the playground and suggest that one of your sons might have soiled pants. Indeed. Soiled underwear, soiled pants, soiled legs, and soiled playground equipment.
Or you wake up in the morning to your son clutching a bunch of marker tops and the adventure is trying to find all the places in the house where created graffiti.
Yep.
Every minute.
Filled.
With adventure.
Woo!
Hoo!
