Eat! Drink! Be merry at Starbucks!

People! I was not kidding about the drink-more-Starbucks mandate a few weeks back! I am sitting in my local Starbucks and I am the only customer here.

Unacceptable!

If you are not going to pay for my sons’ college education, who will?!

And I ordered a grande, but the barista prepared a tall. I pointed this out and he was genuinely apologetic and said he would make a new one, it would only take thirty seconds. No, no, it’s okay, I said. (good to see some customer service, but let’s not unnecessarily dip into the inventory, hmmm?)

A few moments later he brought over a coupon good for a free beverage, with his further apologies.

Ack! Save it for the non-shareholders! The bottom line just decreased by a couple of dollars….
