Death by turkey craft
Last week a close relative, in a clear attempt to kill me, sent the boys a little Thanksgiving craft in which pom poms, glue, pipe cleaners, feathers, and various foam shapes are used to create turkeys.
So today I am thankful that my livelihood does not depend on me using glue and pom poms (much less feathers) on a regular basis.
Because it doesn’t work. It all slides off in a gooey mess and makes me emit guttural noises that Benjamin now imitates whenever he sees me getting frustrated.
We gave up the adult-turkey-making after one attempt and (I) made baby turkeys. The fun part was then trying to get them to stand up, be still, maintain pleasant expressions, and behave while I photographed them. After 7,842 shots of this:
We finally got this:
... which does not actually reflect reality around here, but there you go.
Happy Thanksgiving!
