From my portfolio: La Boca

An acrylic rendition of a street in Buenos Aires known for its colorfuly painted houses.
From my portfolio: Metamorphosis

Butterfly detail from a pen and ink drawing, "Metamorphosis."
Scene: Miami Beach Garden Center
Across the street from the Miami Beach convention center - and a couple of blocks from Lincoln Road – is the Miami Beach Garden Center.
The Garden Center is very kid-friendly as you can keep your stroller on the paved paths and/or walk amongst and touch the sculptures, and/or run across the red bridge in the Japanese garden.
In the background of the last photo above you can see the hand from the Holocaust Memorial next door. It’s amazing – I wrote more about it a few months ago.
Finds: Gran’s house
When you’ve lived in one house for nearly fifty years, you tend to accumulate some interesting things along the way. Here are a few things I found at my grandmother's house.
Above: a package of six "Animal Party Sticks." They're at least a few decades old, still in their original wrapping.
Below: an oil painting by my aunt Frances when she was in high school.
The windmill below has been there for several decades, even though they land was parceled so it no longer sits on Gran's property.
